New theme teaser

We’ve been quiet the past few weeks working on a number of things on our to-do list. Some of the items we’ve been researching are focused on enhancing our themes even further. We do this so that as each new theme is released, we can confidently claim that not only is a higher level of functionality delivered, but also that users have even more options to run professional sites.

That being said, you will absolutely love the new features in our next theme. I am not going to describe in detail the specifics of the new features baked into our upcoming newspaper / magazine theme but here are a few keywords: Multiple Headers, Category – AND – Post Layouts, Large Images.

Following the release of our newspaper theme, we have two more wonderful themes in the pipeline – one of them focused on real estate. Stay tuned for more announcements or sign up to RSS feed or our monthly newsletter.

Transcript Theme Update

In the interest of updating our themes to ensure you get access to the latest features, we have been busy updating the Transcript theme. The most noticeable updates are behind the scenes and will be seen in the new control panel. Here is a quick round-up of some of the exciting updates:

Framework

The theme has been updated to our latest framework which has already been introduced into the NewsPro and LinePress themes. Additionally, code has been optimized, and in some cases, completely re-written.

WpNewspaper 1.5 is Released

We are excited to announce the release of WpNewspaper v1.5, an upgraded version of the extremely popular WpNewspaper template.

The new version received an Extended Theme settings page that will let you make all the customization and configuration you want in a flash. The multilevel drop down navigation makes page navigation a cake walk. WpNewspaper v1.5 also offers category-based ads support. So now you don’t need to scratch your brains or make any software customization to make your web page ad compliant.

More than anyone else, we understand the importance of being visible in search engine results. Hence the new template has been search engine optimized for all major search engines out there on the design table itself. You don’t need anymore tampering with the design/codes to make it search engine friendly. Finally, the Localization (gettext) support and enhanced site features make the WpNewspaper v1.5 a different beast altogether than the one you’ve already been used to.

Blognews Theme Update

Even at the onset of 2010, we knew that this is going to be a different year for us altogether. We could have build up one theme every month; but as we told before, we decided to revamp the structure of our old themes so as to make them more robust and user friendly.

With that said, while working on the update of Advanced Newspaper theme, we have made a decision to build our own framework and worked very hard to build a framework architecture that stands out.

Currently, we have updated Advanced Newspaper theme and Transcript theme, and here with this post, we also would like to let everyone know that we have blognews theme as well, built on our new and exciting framework architecture.
